The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has changed the registration date for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025. GATE registration was earlier to start from 24th August but now the registration date has been changed to 28th.

Students who want to give GATE exam, first of all they should know what this exam is. GATE exam is considered to be one of the most prestigious exams in India which is necessary to advance one's career. This exam is held only once a year which is in February. GATE exam consists of 29 subjects. GATE exam i.e. Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering, is a national level examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and) on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India. It is jointly conducted by IIT Roorkee. GATE 2023 exam will be conducted in various cities across India as well as some cities like Bangladesh, Nepal, Singapore and UAE. GATE exam will be a Computer Based Test (CBT).

You can fill the form till 26th September

If you also want to give GATE exam, then you will have to fill the form from 28th August to 26th September. If anyone fills the form after 26th September, late fee will be charged. The date for late fees is 7th October. This exam will be held on 1, 2, 15 and 16 February.

How much is the gate fee?

General, OBC and EWS category candidates have to pay Rs 1800 as gate application fee.

What is the late fee for GATE 2025 application?

If you apply with late fee, you will have to pay Rs 2300 extra.
